Professional Intro
I am an administrative professional with 20 years of experience at a state institution and national nonprofit, continued interest in Business Administration, broad training, and honed experience with extensive knowledge of HR, financial, and office management matters.
Having graduated with an English Degree, I quickly moved to a full-time position with UNCG's School of Nursing in 2005. For 10 years I worked closely, providing confidential administrative support for over 60 faculty and 1000 students (HIPAA/FERPA guidelines), both groups of diverse backgrounds, and supporting the unit financial officer. The size of the program trained me to multitask effectively with varying deadlines, minute-taking for various committees, work in an evolving environment, and collaborate and communicate effectively with numerous local and national groups.
In 2015, I joined the International Programs Center as their Financial Coordinator. I am exceedingly familiar with fiscal and HR-related policies and am extremely proficient in researching and implementing new operational protocols. I am skilled at daily detailed compiling and preparing documents while maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. In addition to having managed state and endowment funds (over $2.1 million yearly), submitted detailed budget reports to the Provost office, and processed grants and awards (over $200 thousand yearly), I was the secretary of the Discretionary Committee and a former member of the IPC Leadership Group. I also served as the HR Liaison and assisted the Associate Provost, where I processed HR paperwork, served on search committees, onboarded new employees, and served as the timekeeper for our Unit.
In 2021, I joined UNCG's Student Health Services, as their HR Liasion and Credentialing Specialist. Where I Managed all Medical, Nursing, & Counseling Provider Credentialing by maintaining files, reporting, and monitoring requirements. As well as having provided administrative support with HR functions including timekeeping and management, overseeing internal personnel files (retention and destruction), and assisted with SHS position request needs in the university ePosition, eHire, and EPAF systems.
Most recently, I joined the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) in January 2024, as a part of their Children’s Services Dept providing support for the ongoing operations and management of programming for ~300+ employees and 10+ partner agencies. USCRI is a US-based, not-for-profit, international organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants.
I have also supervised 1 temporary employee and supported 10-20 student workers yearly, managed the ordering and organizing of unit supplies, and led unit administration duties. I am also in the process of becoming a Notary. In 2020, I became a member of Guilford for All (501(C)(3), (4), (PAC), serving on the Communications Team and crafting world view, facilitating organizational trainings, and co-writing monthly newsletter distributed to over 6,000 constituents.
